about

The music on Watching the Distance was created with a variety of instruments, found objects, vocal sounds, mic effects and electronics over a longish period of time, in a variety of places. You'll hear kitchen bowl percussion, slide guitar, nine banjos at once and sounds transmogrified through cheap samplers, among other things. The pieces first appeared on SoundCloud in 2012, and the resultant album was edited and mastered in 2014.

Thanks for checking out my music--I sincerely hope you enjoy listening.

about

Hank Tilbury Leesburg, Virginia

I play with sounds. Some of those sounds come from actual musical instruments. While I'm not great at any one thing in particular, I'm solidly half-assed at several, and this can make for some enjoyable listening, depending on your tastes.
